Description: Treasure Agate is a very rare combination stone found in only one location that looks amazing when polished. As its finder reports: ‘It is a generous sprinkling of precious and beautiful metals in varying alloys,in translucent silica. In the gold rushes of the past, anything this rich was considered an ore, crushed to powder, and the metals refined…. Despite its rather significant precious metals value, this stone is too valuable to be crushed for extraction. It is exquisite. Cuprite (copper ore) presents many colours, and all are found here, and in among them there are patches of clearly visible gold, speckles ribbons, and blobs of silver, thick spotty patterns of Platinum Group Minerals frequently alloyed in places with gold, and dark specks of manganese’.
